Diocesan Youth Advisory Council
In the Year of St. Joseph
The Diocesan Youth Advisory Council is a group of high school age students that plan youth ministries for the Diocese of Charlotte. The Diocesan Youth Advisory Council meets once a month at guest parishes from September to May to plan Diocesan Youth Conference for the Diocese. Due to Covid-19 the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council has been meeting virtually this year twice a month instead of once a month. The Diocesan Youth Advisory Council is heavily oriented to keep the faith of the members strong and Anchored in Christ. Here is the team that has brought you Diocesan Youth Conference for this year.
Hi! My name is Libby Obermiller and I am the president of the Charlotte Diocesan Youth Advisory Council! I am a senior at Christ the King Catholic High School and a parishioner of Saint Mark's in Huntersville. This is my second year on council and my first as president. My favorite saint is St. Gemma Galgani and some interesting facts about me are I have a black belt in Taekwondo and I am allergic to chocolate.

Hello! I am Annabel Dierking and I am a ninth-grade homeschool student. I go to Our Lady of Grace in Greensboro and this is my first year on council. In my free time, I love to make apps, crochet, and re-watch the Avengers and Star Wars movies. I also participate in FIRST Robotics Competition Team #1533 Triple Strange. My favorite saint is Saint Rita and my favorite saint quote is, “You will find something more in woods than in books. Trees and stones will teach you that which you can never learn from masters.” -Saint Bernard of Clairvaux.

Hello, my name is Jesse Kramer. I am a sophomore in Mother of Divine Grace Catholic homeschool. I go to Saint Margaret Mary in Swannanoa, our priest being Father Becker. This is my second year on DYAC, and my first year doing it completely virtual. My confirmation saint is Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati. Another saint that I have become interested in is Bl. Carlo Acutis. I enjoy swimming competitively, circus arts (juggling, plate spinning, and mountain unicycling), novels, backpacking, mountain biking, and all things tech. I've enjoyed creating this year's online DYAC and hopefully, you can enjoy it as much as I did in helping plan it!
